Film & Transparencies
The iXH 150mp camera is capable of scanning film and transparencies from 35mm slides, roll film 35mm, 120mm, 6x6, 6x7, 4x5 and 8x10. And its fast, up to 400x faster than traditional film scanners! The quality is exceptional, meeting and exceeding FADGI 4-Star and Metamorfoze imaging standards. Drum scanners were always the gold standard but the new iXH camera is able to meet or exceed the resolution and dynamic range set by that standard.
Our systems use specialised leaf shutters or sensor-based electronic shutters to provide nearly vibration-free operation. We combine these components with purpose-built cameras such as the Phase One iXH with up to 150mp sensors and 14 stops of dynamic range. The result is a true Preservation Digital Objects with accurate color, tone, and detail.
Negative Film
Negative film is probably the most demanding material to work with, But Capture One CH software has powerful conversion tools that convert the image to positive with high levels of control over colour and tone.
Glass Plates
The iXH handles negative glass plates in the same way as film. There is no restiction to size or thickness.
Flat Artwork
the iXH system can capture any artwork up to A0+ without removing from its frame.
