At a time when film has gone out of fashion, and digital capture is now the dominanant way of shooting, the need for scanning has never been more important!
The slow demise of the high quality drum and flat bed scanners has meant that an alternative is required. Using a camera seems like the natural choice, but to compete with a Drum Scanner the camera has to be extremely high quality and ideally designed for the task. Thats why Phase One have designed & built the iXH 150mp, a camera purpose built to replace high end scanners.
Cultural Heritage is very particular, even demanding when it comes to detail and colour accuracy, they want to preserve the original forever. So the Phase One iXH 150mp does just that, it scans high resolution at 1:1 from 35mm slides all the way up to A0 flat artwork, capturing the sharpest detail and preserving colours as accurately as possible. The Solution exceeds FADGI and ISO exacting standards.
